Configuring Eudora Light

The following is a step-by-step procedure for configuring your e-mail account for use with Eudora light. Your screens may vary slightly depending on the version you are currently using. You must use the information provided to you when you signed up.

1. Open Eudora Light.

2. Select Tools and Options (on earlier versions of Eudora select Special and Configuration).

3. Under Category, to the left, select Getting Started.

4. Enter the following fields:
POP account: enter your full email address in the following form: youraddress@Mail.Eagles-Net.org.
Real name: enter your name in this field.
Return address: enter your email address youraddress@Eagles-Net.org.

5. Under Category to the left, select Hosts.

6. In the SMTP field enter the outgoing mail server you were assigned at sign-up.

7. Click OK

You are now ready to send and receive e-mail using Eudora Light 3.0. Once connected to the internet via your dial-up networking software, click on the Check Mail icon and enter your password (the same as your network logon password) to check mail.
